I'd like to at least see some drawings of how you intend the finished product to look before committing, especially the wing vents.

Cheers

Yes - 70% of the Reverie price looks favourable - but I, too, would like to see how they are going to look before comitting.

Did I read on one of your earlier posts that you have had a pair already made for your Ultima ?

Kelvin

hi
Look at GTwaynes vents, they will be simialr to them with small radius/lip around outer edge as i have described above.
The air intake scoops will be simialr to Reverie ones with larger open space to let more air in.

The sidepod sill carbon scoops will fill that space real neat.

as i said have a look at my site to see the kind of work we do, most of the carbon parts you see on there were molded directly off the cars.

Hi Kelvin
yes i said i am having them done. the differnce is though i was having them made like GT waynes i.e molded onto the car and a mold wouldnt be needed to made to do that. Also my car has to the be sprayed after due to parts being made directly onto the bodywork.

For other owners to have them, molds have to be made to put them into some kind of production.the design has to be slightly differnt as well due to ease of fitment for people and to save owners having to pay for a respray as i mentioned in my post.

cheers

hi highflyer

thanks for posting them at least people will have some idea what iam on about. How do you manage to post pics though, i dont see any function to do that ???

Yours look about half length ? the ones we can get done will fill the 'hole' completly more like reveries ones only ours would have a longer 'scoop' area towards the front of the car. Mark Koch the owner of the USA Ultima forum kindly gave me a scoop he had worked on for a long time, but it was to expensive to put into production.

we have based our design on a cross between reveries and Marks, to get and get the best function & form. Also ours will be in the actual factory gel coat colors or carbon fibre if people want them.

thanks
billy

Just so you know, we organised a group buy of the Reverie vents for considerably less than the list price. So if you need 10 before you get them made, it might be worth contacting Reverie for a price too?

They will do me fine. In black please.
Asked last time these were mentioned but nothing happened so I assumed you were not going ahead with producing them.

No confusion from my part. I quoted Highflyer and his price so it was to him I was aiming my comments.

Don't take this the wrong way Billy.

From the way you've posted I assume you're doing it as part of your business or for the business you work for.

If I wanted the side pods and front/rear vents in GRP only, it would be over £1k. Carbon probably double that. And you want people to commit on your words only?

If this is a business marketed product, I think you need to put your money where your mouth is and get an actual product made so people can see what they're going to get for the money. If you believe there's a market for it, you/your company should invest.

Until you do, I won't commit to anything. I know if I went to Reverie for the side pods I can see the product and be sure of the quality I'm buying, same with SSS.

HIGHLANDER ? who the fck is Highlander ? Sorry Steve D but I have changed the moulds to make it easier to fitt, and am now in production, but with work commitments and only having some evenings to work on them its a bit time consuming, as I am doing these myself, they will come in primer, I think black would look better on any colour car, which is what I asked for when my car was re sprayed, but the body shop painted them the same colour as the car and I think there ok. They do the job there meant to do perfectly, 2 sets have gone to the USA already.
