Yes. Some can.

First wifey went from perfect girlfriend, to perfect fiancee, to absolutely mental jealous-beyond-belief controlling freak wife. Saying that, the one thing that remained constant was the quality/quantity of boudoir ballet.

Second wifey went from sexy girlfriend to lazy, pain-in-the-arse, couldn't-give-a-toss, my-family-are-more-important-than-you, nightmare in one easy step. Although the sex was still quite good, if a little infrequent.

So, in summary, yes.

Yes no more BJ's and sex is linked to the blue moon cycle.

To all the single men out there don't get married if you like nookie.

It does depend on the person. As I mentioned in a previous thread, they can change to a person that you can't deal with. Personally, I encourage such behaviour. (No, that doesn't mean I will be servicing your wives because you can't handle them any more. hehe )

You are aware that wedding cake has been verified as the only food in the world guaranteed to lower a woman's sex drive by 97%, don't you? wink

this is seriously unbelievable. If this is true, and I have every reason to believe it to be, then I am scared.

Couldn't answer, as given. It depends on both parties. Once the deed is done, both will realise that they don't have to make the effort that they used to. Then you really find out what each other is like, from what they choose to do.

You might even discover that you're the crap one! And I bet that hadn't entered your head, yet.

You can divorce a lousy wife; you should be much more scared that ANY of the candidates or their running mates end up running your country!

this is true.

The ideal thing to do would be to have a girl, and get rid of them about every 4-6 months when the 'relationship' becomes too mechanical. That seems the obvious choice, I am almost convinced by these stories and others throughout the years that men and women are not meant to be together for elongated periods of time.

maybe those not wishing to have kids or anything could simply live the new girlfriend life style, with all its butterflies and all its anxiousness and the fun and glory that comes from meeting someone new and learning about them, and then when it becomes too mechanical kick them to the curve.

SEE YA BYE! hahah

Questions to the OP:

What has made you want to get married? What is your expectation that marriage will be like? Why not live together (as your brother suggested)?

With hindsight I wish I had listened to friends when they told me they didn't like my ex much.
They were actually correct and I was blinded by love.

You don't have to actually answer these questions, I ask them more so that you will look to yourself for the answers. No one on here knows your relationship like you do. Just be really honest with yourself. There are no guarantees, but you should know what she is like after 7 years. If there are signs that she is lazy now, then sure - she will be lazy going forward most probably.

Most women have the same fears about relationships/marriage. Both sexes can be guilty of taking each other for granted. It depends on how well you communicate and how much you love eeachother imo.

People don't change that much.
But kids are another story.

No, don't do that either. Stay unmarried, stay living alone. Make sure that the only time you spend together is time that you have earmarked purely for enjoying each other. Even living together becomes a cycle of playing second-fiddle to things she'd rather be doing than you.

Yes they do. Of course they do. Why? Because it's at home we're loved the best and behave the worst. They don't change any more for the worse than the men they marry. Because we change. Yes we do. We stop shaving, put on weight, drink too much, eat stinky food, fart in their presence, come back pissed from the odd night out with the lads and tell them how much we luuuurrrrvvvveee them.

All of that.

Did you do it before you got married? Got to hope so. At least she knew what she was getting into...but it's not likely! hehe
