FALSE ALARMS M12 GTO 2.5
Discussion
I've been experiencing a few false alarms on my M12 2.5.
Used the switch on and off the ignition method to retrieve the history and
was presented with :
one flash followed by two flashes repeating
Checked the rear clam switch and it's good. Anyone know if the front clam has a switch ?
There doesn't seem to be any pattern as to when the alarm goes off, it can be minutes or hours.
I've taken to leaving the alarm off while in the garage at home.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Cheers..

Drafts used to set off my alarm in a previous car due to the sensitivity of the sensors. Friend of mine who fits alarms told me to shut the vents before alarming it and never had a repeat of the problem.
Is your car garaged? If not, it may be a similar problem but if it is, do large spiders dwell within? Mooohahaha!

I had false alarms a few back after messing around with the windscreen wiper motor bracket.
It first started to go off randomly after being alarmed, sometimes some minutes after, and then at other times it would be fine. Turns out I dislodged a spade connector on the alarm unit which eventually fell off altogether, making the alarm go off instantly every time I tried to lock it.
Put the connector back on and it's been fine.

I also had this issue on my 2.5. when you arm the car push and hold the button on the remote down for a few seconds until you hear a beep. This dissables the interior sensors.
However mine still used to go off sometimes very randomly. In the end I took it to a installer of our alarms and it turned out to be the sensors themselves being old analouge type rather than the newer digital. New sensors were sent free of charge and I fitted them my self. never had an issue since.
