Newfish needs help with first track day.

Hi,

Me and a friend have just bought a track car. We live in Leicester (Just 2 miles from Mallory) and we want to sort out our first track day. We also need a trailer in the long term, incase anybody's got one going cheap?

Any general advice and help would be great! And any dates local to us coming up?

What did you buy?

We've bought an Ex-Renault Clio Cup car. Built 2001.

6 Speed Sequential etc etc. A chap we know is moving his touring car outfit to Dubia (Lucky bugger!) and we were offered this car with a boat-load of spares.

All very unplanned and last minute stuff so we have no bloody idea, other than we're the equivilant of a 6yr old whose just been given a machine gun!

Should be interesting!

Those cars are great. Someone I know was kind enough to let me drive his round Oulton not so long ago. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Ithink we might get a run out in it at Mallory next weekend. Renault Turbos Owners Club track day. Not sure if I'll need to stick a turbo badge on it somewhere but good of them to let us crash the party.

Can't wait, usually whizzing around on two-wheels, so this will be luxury!
