Anyone got a spare radiator for a year 2000 VT2 GTS? Mines started leaking through a split in the plastic near one of the fan assembly mounts.

cant help but (and this is almost useless) when I've needed custom/rare radiators in the past there was a place just outside banbury that would offer an exchange or even a custom made rad or even offer to strip and rebuild.

not had to use a rad service for a few years so no longer have details.

yeah hehe but the point is even though I cant remember the place it may be as well to get his rebuilt. I had mine done on a very old Beemer and it came back better than if I had spent $$$$ on getting an old "new" one

all comments greatly received!
I have had special rads built and rebuilt before but not ones made of plastic/aluminium with millions of special brackets, pipes, sensors and little fittings all over them (and thats just the special bits I can see!!!. Is it possible to get this style of rad rebuilt?? I suppose its worth me asking a coupe of "specialists" before I have to get the costs for a new one from Aus...

I had EXACTLY the same problem on mine... managed to patch it up for a while using some pretty good glue, but it got worse.
Sorry, forgot to say got mine through Monkfish. Cause they are apparently slightly different to the monaros...

I was thinking about trying the glue route but guessed it wouldn't work too well.

im not sure if its the same as my LS2 ro, but you might be able to buy the plastic side tank. Mine was broken and it only cost me 30 quid plus a tenner to get it fitted to my old rad!!

I fitted a PWR (www.pwrperformance.co.uk) rad in my ute earlier this year, 1 piece ali rad. Not cheap but you get what you pay for, I also paid a little extra for built in power steering cooler

yeah, I looked at those, they look the business. What was the arrangement for the oil cooliong, for auto box or for Power steering. I was thinking about getting an auto version rad (mines a manual) as that has oil coolers built in. I was thinking I could use those for the power steering fluid as the original PS cooling pipe in front of rad has rotted away long ago and I have it bypassed at the mo. Do you think that would work or would it just heat up the PS fluid?

The internal rad cooler would overheat the power steering fluid.

I thought that may be the case...What about routing the engine oil through instead? would that have any benefit?
