looked genuine enough to me.

there was a plaque behind the gear lever which read

le mans 24 heures
monza 1000 kms
paris 1000 kms

My Dad almost bought one in the late 80's.

He tried for years to get the guy who sold us our Zagato to part with his GTB/c. He was just about to (or so I believe), when unfortunately he passed away and the family decided to hold onto it while classic car prices went berserk. It went to a Japanese collector some years later for $4 million.
