Ok, just got a Leven Hood cover and Stainless latchess. Good news (ish)

Started raining last night so interior was nice and dry today for the trip to work.

Bad news:

Seem to have misplaced my latches! Doh!! Could be in London or Newcastle !

Can't seem to get the rear flap under the boot when fitting the cover. Is there some sort of trick to getting this done?

Cheers Guys

I usually start with 1 corner and just feed it through at the corner of the boot, then work along to the other end. There is a definte knack to it, gets easier with practice.

Lazy bd answer - if you're in a hurry, don't bother with rear flap - unless you have high winds, it ain't going anywhere.

I find I don't have to release boot to pull out, so not that great from security angle.

As said above - drop lip in first along width, then feed through hooking lip from boot side starting at one end (left works for me?) I start with rear, shut boot lid, then work forwards

Riiiiiiight. Ok, is the flap supposed to be hanging down inside the boot?

not actually in the boot, just in teh recess under the boot lid. But, as above , you can pull it straight back out, so it's pretty pointless.

Ooooohhhhhh! Ok, I've been trying to get it into the recess then more so it hangs inside the boot.

be surprised if the boot shuts doing that. It shoudl be a waterproof seal after all!!!

Hopefully it's just getting the knack and then it'll be okay, but it's frustrating when you're half asleep and nigh on impossible in the dark.

When I do mine properly, yes, it comes over the seal and into the boot - that's where it's supposed to grip. I find that if you pull through as far as it can go and shut the lid, when you get round to the front, you will pull back out an inch or two to make the hood sit right on the car. The secret to getting it through the boot gap is making sure there are no kinks/creases, and don't try from both ends finishing in the middle don't work!

Don't make me larf!! What keeps the boot dry is the two holes in the recess corners - when they block up (and they do - regularly - get out your coathanger!) the water pours over into the boot.

You have been warned

(P.S. boot shuts fine)

Ah ha! Did it last night, easy! Just fed it all in in one go, then pulled it through! Did do it in the daylight this time.

Had to un block the drain holes last week, after blowing down the tube and poking with wire for about an hour what came out made me
