He has dedicated his life to being in F1.
But it takes all sorts to make the world.
Kimi is tacturn and shy and hates all the F1 trappings and intrusion into his private life.
Put him in an F1 car and he is electrically quick. Also his car control is legendary.
At Monza last weekend during qualifying Hamilton had a huge moment and spun it. Kimi, in the exact same place, had what looked like a bigger moment and still caught it.
Or at Monaco Coulthard hit that bump under braking and turned right into the barrier at 160mph. Kimi's car does exactly the same thing and, amazingly, he catches it. Unfortunately he also catches Sutil.

I've been in this sort of situation (that the passenger's in) and it's as deeply disturbing as it is impressive. They just chat away to you, look across the car while they're totally flat out.
Having said that, even the fastest road cars probably feel leaden and slow to race drivers. See Bruno Senna on Fifth Gear the other week!
