Total frustration!
Discussion
Travelled home from London yesterday evening, because of big problems on M1 at Northants, I went M40 route back to the Midlands.
About ten mins into my journey on the M40, I came accross one of those infuriating people who sit at 60 in the centre lane whilst the nearside lane was completely empty.
When I got past (the outside lane was obviously busy with cars trying to pass this numpty) I looked accross and saw a driver who was completely oblivious to the queues that were forming behind them.
A couple of miles further, and I found another car doing the same thing.
I decided to start counting.....
In total, between Hanger Lane in London and the M42 junction on the M40, I counted 52 instances like this.... some in the centre lane, some in the offside lane. Every time they were travelling at a lower speed that everyone else (50 - 65 mph)
Every time I looked at the driver, and they ALWAYS looked like they were a million miles away.
Do the BiB ever pull these people over to remind them of driving etiquette, and explain that although they are not comitting that most henious crime of speeding, they are potential accidents waiting to happen!!!

And the M1 northbound was fairly quiet |
Now that IS annoying
I regularly travel from West London to Derby, and much prefer the M1 route because of more service stations serving Latte's from Coffee Nation machines!!
Plus, the M1 route is about 20 miles shorter for me!

| I narrowly avoided Fri nights problems - thank god for Wap and an atlas! |
I travel from Derby (via M1 J28) to Leeds City Centre every Friday evening.... usually takes about 90 minutes (if I'm lucky, and time my departure at the right time!)
Last Friday, I travelled from Leicester to Leeds..... total nightmare!

Ah, Coffee Nation lattes, the sole redeeming feature of many a depressing away day watching the Golden Boys. It's only the prospect of a latte at Leicester Forest East that keeps me sane on some journeys!

I've tried the Lattes from Wild Bean (Rothersthorpe Services South.... or are they called Northampton Services these days?)... but they are just not the same.....
