what mags do kit car owners read
Discussion
I used to be subscribed to both Complete Kit Car and Total Kit Car, but I decided not to renew Total when it expired - it just didn't click with me.
The magazine that is not complete nor total I found to be very poor in comparison about a year ago (I was subscribed to the others at the time, and I wanted a different read on the plane).
So, I'd go for Complete Kit Car.

Interesting how the quality of the titles has changed over the years.
I was firmly in the WK? camp, but switched to KC when the former's offering withered.
I dropped the KC subscription when I grew sick of all the repeated ads and frequently repeated articles.
I then subcribed to TKC for a year, but preferred something more frequently published.
I now take CKC on subscription and it's been a revelation under the new team.

Kit Car has remained static in it's coverage, some aspects are great, some REALLY grind with me. I buy it almost every month though.
CKC, for me, has revived the old WK? magazine which had become a total waste of time and money. Kit Cars have always been about more than just the cars and Adam, Ian and Justin's efforts to really get involved with owners at shows etc have been a breath of fesh air. The magazine content has improved 1000% over the WK? days too. I subscribe.
TotalKitCar is a great magazine, but for reasons I can't really explain myself I don't buy it all that often..

That's pretty much what I thought - I asked myself "what is it about TKC that I don't like", and there wasn't really anything tangible I could think of. I even grabbed an old copy to check.I subscribed to KC and CKC for about the last 4 or 5 years, didn't bother renewing my KC subscription last year as was sick and tired of "Biggest Ever Issue" claims on the front, only to find out that I'd read 80% of the articles 6 months before. Still pick it up in WHSmith from time to time and still remember some of the content! The improvement in WK? when it became CKC has been amazing, an excellent magazine.
The conclusion i had come to was that at any one time the market could only sustain one good magazine with the others falling by the wayside and having to be reinvented. Which magazine this is has changed several times over the recent years, but it has to be said currently Complete is the only one i bother reading now, and good it is too.

I love it, best read out there. Often get double pages without any adds.
If you’re building a kit car or into grass roots motorsport (i.e. un-sponsored) you will defiantly get something out of it. Not aligned to any manufactures. Big on improving safety and performance.
