Does anybody know what kind of plastic the rear screen is made from

pvc / vinyl /polyprop

I have a very small tear in it and wanted to try some flexible adhesive but don't want to melt it

Used to be stuff called Velbex.

I know this because I hand stitched a new piece in my 350i during a refurbishment of the roof and rear screen.

My hands were bleeding by the time I had finished but the car (which had been totally stripped down and resprayed) looked fantastic.

I even replaced and ajusted the headlight motors so that they poped up together in perfect harmony.

Thanks for that I have done a quick google and it seems that I will be OK going to try and fix it today and see how it goes

Have been driving around with 1/2 inch square piece of gaffa tape covering it which does not seem ideal

Just wanted to see if I could prolong the time till replacement
