Headlight Bulb Question

Swapped my main beam bulbs over to dipped beam ie H11's into H9 holders and did the plastic trimming mod. and put the H9's into the main beam holders (no noticeable difference when using high beam)
One of my headlights (H11's) has now blown and i need to replace, My question is - Will 65W H9's be better than using the standard H11's (as the end of these are not blacked out)?
