I am becoming desperate! My Z3MC has developed the most annoying fault concerning the tyre warning light - it will not stay off for more than a few miles. I have checked the pressures, reset the damn thing but it keeps coming back.

BMW cant pick anything up on their diagnostics, reset it and say its fine. A few mils later, its back blinking at me ?

Please, please help. Its under extended warranty but I would like to go to my local garage with suggestions rather than allow them to follow the diagnostic path of least resistance. Many thanks.

Has it been reset properly ? You can get the light to turn off without properly resetting it so it just comes back on a bit later. You need to do something involving holding the switch down whilst turning the ignition off, back on but not starting the car and wait till the light goes out. Then its been reset properly.

Buckled wheel?

Mine did this and it turned out I had just a tiny buckle in the front wheel.

Also, as said above, have you dont the proper reset? Its something along the lines of pressing the button with the ignition in position 1, waiting for the light to go amber, then running the car to allow it to recalibrate the wheel. This sometimes needs doing after having new tyres fitted.
