Righty, having managed to remove the Nicotine layer off the leather of my newly aquired Griff I have, what appears to be, some form of glue on the leather interior on the inside recess of the dash. Has anyone any idea how I'd even start to try and remove this ?

Yeah, I use lighter fluid to remove all sort of things but was concerned about the effect on the leather. Was the leather OK after that then ?

Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover.
It shifted all the glue marks from the leather around my gearstick with no effort at all.

(Thanks for the tip Rods !)

Nail Polish remover pads are quite effective - or a blow-torch!
