Only one of the two Foxguard alarm keyfobs with my '95 Griff 500 has worked properly for a while, despite repeated attempts at re-synchronising using the usual long/short button press method. Because of this I decided it was about time to do a hard reset on the Foxguard box in accordance with the TVR Technical Bulletin I have, which suggests pressing the reset button on the side of the box, while carrying out a sequence of presses on the keyfob.

According to the bulletin, the control box is somewhere behind the dash & under the radio; having spoken to Carl at Car & Bike Installations he confirmed this. The problem is; having removed the radio I still can't find the box, so my question is: What does it look like?

There is a black box under the radio, but it appears to be something to do with the heater servo controls, as there is a ribbon cable which appears to go down into the centre console, a big heatsink on one side, and no DIP switches or reset button as suggested by the bulletin.

There are also one or two other black boxes, which appear to be TVRs own in-house types; but nothing which says Foxguard on it.

A Google search on Foxguard only yields pictures of the keyfobs. So does anyone have a pic of a Foxguard alarm control box, so I can see what I'm looking for?

Hi,

a less witty but more useful answer. If you look on the Griffithpages there is an item about recovering the dash. There are a series of photos and I'm pretty sure you can see the foxgaurd unit in one or two of them.
