Very Francophile evening. Big chunk of coarse pate, a wedge of brie de mieux, cornichons and a baguette washed down with a glass or 3 of red watching French cooking shows on TV.
I got my slow cooker out for the first time this year and did a pot roast. Joint of beef, onions, carrots, leeks tin of beans, tin on tomatoes, oxo cube and some red wine. I left it for seven hours and had it with roast spuds. The meet just fell to bits.
