No more Roush exhaust + F1-A's question

Hey Guys,
I've been contemplating the Roush system for a while now, and have suffered numerous chocolate bracket failures / re-welds etc etc on the stock unit... and now the pipe that enters the exhaust back box under the rear turbo has cracked, so it's really, properly dead now. I cant handle any more repair jobs, it feels like a disease on the car and I need a solution
I thought time to bite the bullet. I spoke to the Noble London guys, who had previously promised to fit the Roush system (I believe Rob has his fitted there too) but was told that Roush were no longer offering the part. D'oh.
I spoke to Ant / Dave at Roush, and they confirmed and said it was due to having too much work in other areas etc.
Good for Roush not good for me.
So it seems that Piper made the system originally, but their offices always seem to be closed. I'm guessing its still possible to buy the unit from Piper, but what of all the wisdom and packages including fuel pump etc that Roush used to offer. Noble London indicated that it was likely going to be more expensive direct from piper, which seemed a bit crazy.
Are people still of the opinion that this is the best exhaust unit to upgrade to, are there any new alternatives?
A quick question on Tyres.
Mine are dead. Currently got SO3's on the front and F1 Eagle's on the rear.
I was offered Toyo's but dismissed those (I once fitted some Toyo's to my elise and they were terrrrible) and swore them off for life.
I'm thinking of going for the F1's all round this time, is anyone not liking theirs?

You can get the roush exhaust direct from piper, I cant ever see it being more expensive than it was from roush!!
Maybe email Piper if their phones are never answered.
If you are having it fitted, it can end up being quite expensive ( specially if you use a noble dealer at £75+vat an hour. Possibly worth speaking to a specalist who dosent charge Noble rates for such a simple job.
There are several other options.
Hayward and scott, urban racing ( which looked very nice and very good quality using v-clamps etc), both prices on these include fitting so bear that in mind when making the comparision.
I have the Hayward and scott, and am very pleased with it. It also did improve power. (at the roush RR with the help of a Trevor remap)

Dan - I was one of the 'early adoptors' and all the exhaust/pump work was done at Roush. I'd give Piper another call on the exhaust components to find out the score. If they have to make up a single unit for you, then it is possible that this will be more expensive than the original quotes from Roush who probably had them made in batches of 10 or more. There are other after-market exhausts available; I don't see any reason why they shouldn't perform as well as the Piper system if the gas flow through them is similar (ie similar bores/configuration and CATs).The pump and wiring is simple - Bosch Motorsport pump and heavy duty wire, which Skip could fit in minutes.

It's not you!! But I hate to say it, I think that is what roush charged £1800 plus vat but I could be wrong. Is it me, or is that crazy expensive?
Never understand how all things Car ralated quote excl VAT when we all(as private individuals) have to pay it, guess it makes it look better value!!.
Spoke to H&S with this as the reply:
What we have made in the past is decat pipes that the rear one is
modified for easy fitment for the MOT i.e you just change the one and
tell the MOT guy to stick is probe up the correct tail pipe and then
change back to de cat after.The complete system with this set up fitted
is £950 , if you wanted 100 cell high flow cats fitted you would be
looking at a additional £750. All prices are a fitted but excluding VAT.
We would need the car for approx 4 days to be able to make and fit for you.
Obviously much cheaper but a pain in the arse to leave the car with them.

If you can talk to them I'd be interested in a group buy, my ideal option would be for them to make two for the same car so the second one could be sent to me to put on myself. I wonder if they would make a jig up if there is enough interest so they can do mail order rather than fit only, espcially as their exhaust is much cheaper than Piper.

Would also be interested in a group purchase. My exhaust is corroded to f
k and baffles are rattling around inside. My local garage aren't interested in emissions when they MOT test. I ask them to check them just in case the motor's not running too healthily.
