Fault Code Readers

I am looking to buy a fault code reader for the "strifes" car (K series Freelander) after a long and arduous hunt for a fault which turned out to be a dodgy HT lead... so was thinking the diagnostic sockets are standard, or rather after 1995 the On Board Diagnostic (OBD11) socket is standard on all cars (or should be!)... any recommendations on a good one?
