Uprated dampers for an A4 quatro?
Discussion
Hello All,
I'm new in here, but I have had an V6 A4 quatro avant for the last 6 years, it's my everyday "workhorse" car, but over the years, I have grown quite fond of it. It is getting a bit long in the tooth now, but for various reasons, I have decided to keep it for another couple of years.
It could use a new set of dampers.
As the OE ones didn't impress me even when new, I am considering an aftermarket set this time.
I'd be keen to here from anyone who has gone down this route, what they chose and their impressions of their chosen damper.
I do not intend to alter the ride heights, anti roll bars or geometry, I just want to improve the control of the car's (considerable) weight in roll and over the large bumps and dips that are all too prevalent around the corner of Essex where I live.
Thanks mtbr

which shape car do you have at 6 years old guessing either a B6 or a B5?
I cant comment on the dampers but i have heard RS4 antiroll bar links make a difference to keeping the car a little more taut.
Which spec is your car, an SE or a sport, i have found the Audi sport spec to be well suited to UK roads personally. The SE is a little too soft for my liking but offers a a good ride.
