Wait a few weeks, there will soon be thousands, going very cheap, on Ebay.

This fooking idiot government is going to give lazy families with no jobs a £700 voucher for a laptop, and broadband, so that they can smoke weed, drink cider and surf kiddie p0rn for free.

They're buying votes, basically.

the thing is... im beyond giving a damn now...

this country is well and truely flucked... and not because of the sub-prime mortgage market, or irresponsible lending...

nope, because this goverment has screwed it up for the last 10 years by creating a welfare state than cant be sustained, and in times of crisis, they go running back to their core voters...

Is the right answer.

Surely most of the people who would be eligible for this would be voting for labour anyway - well, that is - if they vote at all.

They had the temerity to say yesterday that they plan to widen the welfare state. This is blatant gerrymandering, using our money. We just need to hope that the feckless mass remains ungrateful and apathetic.

Bing.

Most Labia voters who are disillusioned would simply not bother to vote. This is designed to get them down the Polling Station.

Maybe they'll hand out the vouchers there?

Isn't that the point? That's how New Labia has managed to stay in 4 so long. Pandering to the masses & chucking money at them who always have voted Labour..

£700. fk me.

  • IF* they genuinely think that the poorer folk need computers, why not put a few more in libraries? Or encourage companies to offer them to employees on a pay monthly basis from their gross pay (rewarding those who go to work but might not earn enough to spunk at PC World)?

£700 is a *lot* of laptop.

We have an EEE that does everything for 200 quid.

My media centre wasn't 700 quid.

Oh, I know, why not encourage a nationwide scheme where money for computers and an internet connection are taken out of your PAYE wages interest free over a year, pre tax, like the cycle2work scheme.

You can have that idea for free, you bunch of idiots.

I'd love to go out and spend £700 on a PC at the moment, as the old one I was given by WORK for training is a bit decrepit.

But I can't.

Because I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY.

Where is my handout?

Jon Gaunt on Talksport, on now, seems to think they will get the £700 even if they already have a computer.
Gets better by the day.
He is checking this out at the moment.
