There is a large gathering of headless chickens called the labour party assembled in Manchester and I just want them to go away. And die prefereably. All these whining sickos can come up with is a windfall tax. Its like, you mention tax and they head for the 70s and start mastrurbating about taxing the rich and capping salaries. These idiots are just plain wrong on every level about every issue. The barmy one eyed scots git is just wallowing in scmooze as he tries to drum up support from the living dead still clutching on to a programme of nationalisation and tax driven exodus creation scheme.

The real labour party is emerging, Brown is encouraging them and this is bad because they may well be third at the next election and that means a glimmer of hope for MR wishy or MR washy whoever is leader of the lib dems at the time to unvail unprecedented levels of total fkwittery hitherto unseen by us non nutters.

What we really need is to kick start the economy by making 4 million civil servants and quango employees redundant and then offering them jobs the following day with the roadbuilding companies while the UK embarks on a massive reconstruction of the highways programme to eventually render us competitive again. (this would obviously include a lot of greens falling out of trees as they were felled biggrin)

When is Cammerblair going to be replaced with a conservative who is not a social engineer. I am getting sick of all these pillocks trying to change my opinion.

You're a bit of a floating voter then? wink

I can't help wondering with all this zanulabia talk about oil company windfall taxes, are the govt going to tax themselves for the huge windfalls they have received recently from the high oil prices? I shan't hold my breath.

News Night had a panel of Manchester voters on last night. All expected the government to sort everything out for them. Disappointing that the public is now completely reliant on the government to run there lives.

True! Little known fact is that the Rambler's Association (a.k.a. The Ancient Order of as crop tramplers, righteous uppity trespassers and livestock worriers) was established in Manchester as an off-shoot of the Communist party.

This cannot be said often enough. 5,000 quangos - WTF are they all doing. Half of them don't even communicate internally let alone with other quangos and persih the though of interacting properly with the 'real' economy.

So "New" Labour going back to Traditional Labour then? Taxing the rich and giving more to the middle classes (Read benefit cheating scum).

I don't really follow Politics as such just what I read on PH's.

But if this is the case then surley in this country even in 18 months time their new policies will get them votes, after all they are looking after the poor (They don't need to work under "New" Labour). All they need to do is get all these to vote and they will be back in?.

The horror of watching Old Labour standing up and talking about re-nationalising our industries and taxing the rich sent nasty tinglings up my spine last night.
Lest anyone forget, these people held the country to ransom in the 70's and stifled free enterprise, advances in working practices, advances in technology - anything which interfered with them sitting on their fat arses drinking tea. Made in Great Britain became a byword for shoddily-built crap.

I saw the Transport and General wr's Union leader Tony Woodley's making his tub-thumping 'nationalisation' speach. Why is it that most of these union leaders remind me of the kids whose numerical skills never progressed beyond counting with fingers & thumbs.

Manchester you say? Right. What you need is:

- a camcorder (and tripod)
- a towel
- some food colouring
- a water bowser (full of tap water)
- something to tow it with
- a newspaper

Put the food colouring in the water bowser and tow it to the Lake District. Park up at the side of Thirlmere. Wrap the towel round your head. Set up the camcorder and tripod. Film yourself emptying the coloured water into the lake. Show the newspaper to the camera so it can see the date. Send copies of the footage to the Manchester authorities timed to arrive two days later.

Ah now, you don't know for certain that the Demoral Libocrats could do any worse than the last two showers of sh it we've had to endure.
See, while they're in the shadows they can pontificate all they like about what they might, or could, or wouldn't do. But if by some miracle they got in, perhaps they'd have a fking good shake of their collective heads and just maybe come up with some good schemes for the country.
I know, I know, cloud cuckoo land... they're all the same, we know that. But it's like saying (and it has been said before) 'let's start a PH party'... all the good stuff that get's spouted on here might well go to rat-s hit when the personalities involved got into the corridors of power. That being the case, the reverse MIGHT be true too and the Lib Dems could just be a breath of fresh air.

My view: I don't give a sh!t who gets in next time as long as it's not Labour, and preferably not the Cons. Between them they've f ucked the country around quite enough in my lifetime so I'm prepared to let someone else have a crack of the whip.

I'm more annoyed that all the roads are closed around the convention centre/Midland Hotel.

Snipers on top of buildings and all sorts today - too bad they can't do us all a favour.

Well, I guess it's the same in the UK as over here - if the liberal democrats were actually 'liberal' and 'democratic' I'd vote for them in a heartbeat.

Instead, on both sides of the English Channel we merely have a choice between different flavours of authoritarian...

My feelings exactly. What are you wearing? What time will you be passing them?
