Simple one really, I have only driven the Griff with the roof down so far (apart from the drive home from Fernies in torrential rain).

Is it safe to drive at 'speed' with the rear section of the roof up and the targa panel off ? Only wondering so if I ever fancied doing it I don't rip off the rear section with the airflow.

Cheers
Simon.

Yes, but oddly it doesn't seem any quieter or less windy than with the whole roof down, so I never bother. Also think it makes me look like a Porsche driver!

Mine is considerably quieter and less windy with just the rear section up.
It's also takes on board less water to put it up if I'm caught out driving without the targa panel with me.

Only drove with the rear section up once, and although admittedly it was at M-way speeds, it was so noisy and windy that I pulled over half way home to put the roof back down fully again.

If the roof is in good condition I doubt it'd cause any problems, especially if you're at sub M-way speeds...

If it starts raining just reach over and pull it up and lock the struts. It cuts down on the rain coming in until you can pull over under a bridge and get the roof panel out. No problems at any speed you should do in the rain.

I find that having the rear section up increases turbulence inside, but does help keeping rain out.

In the latter case I discovered I can also raise it while driving biggrin
