Audi A4 AWX turbo probs

Hi Gents and ladies.
Grateful for your advice. My son has an audi A4 1.9 AWX turbo on a 51 plate.
He has recently had a new engine put in because the timing belt snapped.

The new engine runs OK, but anything over 50 mph , the ecu seems to be sensing an overpressure and disables the turbo until the engine is turned off and then the same thing happens.

The garage that did the job at last admits that they are not sure they have all the pipework on correctly.....the rubber tubes and hoses etc. So its a safe bet that this is causing the overboost. The wastegate valve or VNT? has already been checked physically and found OK. The audi garage say the turbo is u/s for £2000.....hmmmm dont think so.

I am trying to find a diagram or even better a picture that can show me how the pipes are meant to be fitted to the turbo and wastegate etc.

The turbo was working fine before the new engine was attached to it so i do not believe the turbo is u/s.
