BMW M3 0-60 mph: 5.0 seconds ish Standard trim, Evo 7 0-60 mph: 7.3 seconds Standard trim (I think thats about right) so what did the evo driver espect?

Mits Evo 7 0-60mph in 7.3s....no way!

If launched correctly (which that guy in the video didn't) they are definitely sub 5.0s.
With mechanical sympathy (not dumping the clutch) I could manage 5.2s in my standard spec Evo 6 GSR (measured with equipment), dumping the clutch would shave about 0.5s off that but you wouldn't be able to do that many times before the clutch went.
I only tried it to see if the official figures were about right and they were (official was 4.4s).

Anyway back to the video, unfortunately some people shouldn't drive some cars, it brings out the nob factor in them biggrin

Fair point, it would seem that 7.3 is wrong, that was from a site I was looking at erlier, 5.3 seems to be a more widly used figure.

In my slightly none standard evo6 I never got close to 5 though, my old e36 bmw seemed quicker, but who knows, unless you have a speed gun. ;0)
