i am currently selling my passat in the classifieds ads, for £5000, i think thats a good price for the car, considering the millage and overall condition of it, but i have been told i should sell it for a bit more?is it worth it?

Is it a 170bhp version ? If so you should probably say in the advert.
Service history ?

Even with both, in the current climate £5k is too much imo for 7 year old thirsty saloon.
I have a 52 plate 330i. Excellent condition, 70k on it but fbmwsh, leather, xenons, heated seats & auto.
Its worth no more than £5k.

yes its got full service history with it, which i will put in the advert,i have said £5000 but would take a little less on it,and there are similar passats for around the same price with higher millage as well.

Like I said is trade price, Glass's guide. I think its worth alot more than that, but not as much as £5k, But thats my opinion as a trade insider.

A few examples from auto trader.

PS is it over 225 CO2's. Road tax gonna be £300 then £400 then £450 over next few years. Thats gonna be a big problem for the higher spec larger engined used cars soon.

yes i understand about the road tax thing, but that will effect a lot of people as well, so mine is not a minority, and the examples you have shown (and thanks for putting in the effort) are a w reg (older) and ones an estate with another 10,000+ miles on it, i know that you never get what you really want for a car when selling but for the right person it will be the right price.thanks again for your help.
