The fastest you've ever seen...on 2 wheels or 4
Discussion
My fastest ever speed acheived on two wheels was 283kph on a Yamaha R1 on the back straight of Pukekohe race circuit in NZ (video proof can be supplied). In the Monaro I've seen 220kph (It only goes that far)
Now I'm sure for all those who have access to the Autobahn in Europe or the Northern Terratory in Aussie will have beaten this....keen to hear on what though...

seen 165 think thats about 265kph in the VXR
Off the 200mph clock on a Hayabusa turbo and tripped the lights at 212mph hard on the rev limiter due to far to lowa gearing! (b
ks!)
189mph in the VXR according to tomtom and still going in Germany... only stopped as the dash flashed up abs failure and traction off... learnt afterwards its nothing to worry about.
Next year 200gps MPH

Too scared after my accident to go fast anymore. I learned the hard way, it's not the going fast that's the problem - it's the slowing down again when something unexpected happens. Bloody hurts too!
you were unlucky to find that sudden deceleration is not without riskI was lucky in discovering divine intevention as i skidded arse first inbetween a telegraph pole and and a chevron sign with the bike soon to follow!

To be honest ive always adopted the Edison approach to driving and accidents when ive had one i just get on with it and know thats another way not to do it. Ive never been a silly driver but ive had some pretty good ones in my time. The best one was getting the car pierced by the safety bar on the back of HGV hitting the central reservation then back under the back arse of car off the ground nearly vertical then back into central reservation to stop. Lorry buggered off as well but they got him in the end.
I drove the car home as well!!!!!!! god knows how as one of the back wheels didnt touch the ground good old 309 gti

Can sit the Gixxer on the 186 (300K) limiter in both 5th & 6th.. You can get them derestricted but that's generally just bragging rights, doesn't make much difference as it's not like you do it every day!!
Done about 155 in cars I think, but TBH I actually find that speed more scary in a car than on the bike, all that mass at speed just gives me the willies....
