I have been given some £2 coins this morning from the local Tesco and one of them seems to be upside down and all the spacing is out around the edges..

What can I do with it?

How to spot a fake £1 - may work for the £2 coins too?

I'm sure I read somewhere that it's not worth faking a £2 coin due to the bi-metal design.

Sell it for a fiver on ebay, but describe it as a "prototype"

So you go to bank, say "I believe these coins are faked" and they take them off you.
OR
You spend them.

judge It's an offence to spend them if you know they are fake!
I would take them to the bank/police

Oh give over being so wet, just spend it.

In fairness it could just be one someone has popped the centre out of, I've done it a few times when I was bored.

I had something exactly like they described on TV a month or so ago. The faces on the coin were not in line. I figured if the dartford toll accepted the coin it was OK...

...it did. I have no regrets.

Dead easy, either use a pair of sockets in the same way you press suspension bushes out, or use a ring of coins round the outside on the workbench supporting the rim but not the centre, put a 5p in the centre and wallop with hammer. Obviously refitting is just a case of resting in hole and hitting on a flat surface. I used to find it amusing to swap the centre round. Bear in mind I was young and very very bored. I have since got a life hehe
