Some scrote has just nicked £4200 off my debit card to book some BA flights ! mad

Anyway, the splendid people at Lloyds/Visa are refunding the card and will hopefully catch them at check-in or something. I really hope they follow it up with BA as it must be easy to catch them

Well in theory they haven't actually bought anything yet, but a service in the future. Easy to just get BA to refund as a fraud, then just sit and wait.

I do wonder why people try use cards for such things. They will clearly never get away with it unless the flight is that day, and even then it must be tied to their passports and they would have cctv etc etc... maybe picked up at the other end?!

Glad your bank has sorted it all for you though smile

Quite. You could nick many thousands out of my current account, but only about £4.39 of it would be mine. hehe

Roll on pay day!

To clarify, this is the case tragically - I didn't even realise I had that big an overdraft today! Got quite a shock when I logged on to see the O/D amount

Probably have an insurance policy on it, so they cancel flight claim money and have laundered your nicked money thank you.

That would be the more intelligent thing to do...

Who cancels the flight? BA?

I'm sure that if they cancelled it on the grounds of fraud, they'd be less than likely to provide a nice note to the insurers saying that it was cancelled because BA are naughty and pay out... shirley?

Or are insurers that easy to dupe?
