Title says it all really.

I'm looking for some lightweight seats to fit in the Cerb', preferably with the option of shoulder holes (if you know what I mean).

Looking at one similar to the one on the right in the following pic:

Suggestions welcome. I already know about Windsors Cobra Imola S seats, but I fear they may be a tight squeeze as I'm 6'.

I'm also on the look out for a knackered T5 g'box and/or an equally knackered 'standard' i.e. non hydratrak diff. Both must have good casings. smile

Thanks

Tim

I can't imagine they wouldn't fit, so long as you made up suitable sub-frames for them.

I know from my VX days that 340R seats are the lightest of the ones found in the various Elise derivatives, and, how can I put this, are more accommodative of the larger posterior than the Exige variants.

They look narrow enough in the base, the bit to watch is the shoulder bulge against the door.

Tim,

check the width of the base of the seats before buying. the cerb seat bases are vey narrow. I was looking earlier this year and really struggled to find a seat with a narrow base width and wide shoulders and as you know I aint that big!

Thanks Jes,

Did you sort the starter?

I have ordered a couple of solenoids from the US so can try one on your 'old' starter if you like - see if we can breathe more life into it?

Tim, I sat in Pauls car at Brands - I believe he has Imola S's - he fits in fine, and I am sure the Cerb is bigger inside... Equally I had no problems in terms of clearance and I am 6'2".

Think series II Elise seats will also fit as long as the shoulder style is the same as the series one. These would be much more comfortable. I shall be retrimming mine to Probax spec soon.
