Transfering money to the USA? Best way?

Anyone help me out with this please? Need to send money to a friend in Conneticut, they dont have a bank account, or paypal ect. What would be the quickest method to get some money over to them?

You can send them a cheque. Or if you need it "quicker" you can get the money transfered using the IBAN code for each bank. However, there will be a charge and it may not be quicker. Also, you can use Western Union to wire the money. Afterall, they must do some legitimate business!

If they don't have a bank account, the fact that some ways of transferring money over are more expensive than others, is purely academic.

He/she will get RAPED if you send a cheque, and they try to cash it. Most banks won't do it, and the 'cheque cashing' places are absolute sharks, as they are mitigating the risk of the cheque being dodgy.

If it's anything other than a small amount of money, I'd strongly advise they open an account.
