I draemed about a TVr as a teenager, now I have one. got myself a stunning navy blue 40k j reg S3 from fernhurst. Parked up monday morning, put my roof cover over the hood. Like a good boy. even managed to tuck the piece under the boot.

Came back after work and the wind had 'flipped' the cover over the car onto the bonnet, leaving a couple of scuff marks and two scratches. I don't seem to have any leaks (fingers crossed). Should I just forget about the cover? Can't have that happening every time the wind picks up can I? Any other ideas?

Apart from that ( and a slight misfire problem on day 2) the car is an absolute dream. Any meets in sussex?

had the same problem with various covers for my Griff, finally got a covercraft which has eyeholes at the bottom by the door that can be tied together underneath the car (I use a bungie cord) this keeps it in place in any weather.

you should be able to get the eyeholes to fit from camping stores if your cover doesn't have them

keep the cover as it provides protection against driving rain which in my experience no TVR convertible is immune to.

Got it in with lots of swearing and bruised fingertips, basically. Going to try sliding it across tonight like a sandwich bag. just forced teh thing through yesterday, but the boot doesn't grip it very well. maybe I shoudl check prevailing wind directions and park facing the wind? As the salesman said when I asked about wonky glovebox - welcome to TVR!

Anyone know any Sussex s'ers?

Interesting Bracknell, although I don't know how much longer I'll be keeping the S3.

Keithyboy another Crawley S owner here. Whereabouts are you ?

Passed a V8S a while back (late August) on the M23, I was going north between 10 & 9 and the V8S was going south, might have been you ?
