Does anyone own and use a classic Europa as a daily drive? Wonder what they are like.

Do you have a contact for this guy, it would be good to speak to someone who has one as I am thinking about one. I totally agree, they look gorgeous.

Twink or Renault ??? For daily use I'd suggest the Twink as although a more pricey engine to run the parts are more plentiful and the interior is a tiny bit more roomy. For daily use you might find the delicate nature of the rear suspension will suffer, engine/transaxle mounts are a suspension component as half the rear end is hung off the transaxle the other half the chassis so as they wear geo will suffer as it all moves about under load change in cornering, UJ's are a suspension component as the drive shaft is the upper link and they will wear fast if the geaseable type, very fast if not - as they wear rear camber will change. Inner UJ yokes need careful shimming as any movement there will knock out the UJ's and Diff output safts. Rear hub bearings aren't too bad and can be mod'ed to extend their life, if the big hub nut works loose outer drive shafts have been known to shear (passenger seat witness of that one) The front end is much more robust being Herald/Spitfire/Elan based and pocket money to service.

Unless of couse you're thinking of a Banks modified one .......
