Watched it last night for the first time.
Wasnt expecting to like it but was very very impressed!
Its on channel 4 on Sunday night, well worth a look

Yep, I wasnt expecting that!!

It was the subtitles that put me off at first but after 10 mins you dont even realise you are reading them

I got it for Xmas on DVD, tried to watch it once but thought the start was boring so turned it off (attention span of a child) might put it on now and give it another try.

Yeah I was surprised by it when I watched it a few months back.
Absolutely fantastic film!

On a sidenote, as the OP said, Film4 are showing it again. I love the music (from the film) they use on the advert!

Emma has been telling me to watch it for months and always thought nah it wont be my sort of film.
Trust me, put it on and watch it all the way through.
You wont be dissapointed

Pan's Labyrinth is an amazing film! another one of his great films (other than the hellboy films of course) is The Devils Backbone. Ive also got Cronos on DVD that i have yet to finish watching and i really want to watch The Orphanage!

To whoever mentioned City of God - that is a top film! Adz you would like that one!

It's all been said already, stunning film. Have owned it on DVD now for a few years after catching it in the cinema!
