There seems to be varying information about the LS7 clutch and it's capabilities. Will it happily handle say 600bhp @ the FW & 550 ft/lbs of torque?

Also what is the supplied/installed cost for these here?

TIA

and then call Monkfish for the price.

I would say that would be on the edge. But still way better than stock.
It gets a very good rep from ls1tech blokes that throw a good deal at it.

Roger fitted one to mine yesterday on his recommendation, not sure of my car's power yet but I think it is over the last tune/set up of 575 bhp / 595 ft lbs torque

They will take 600/600, but i wouldn't want to push one much harder. More than adequate for most unless you are going seriously hardcore!

Richard, you bitch! Apparently most of the 630-odd horses get lost/doze off on their way to the wheels, especially when it's warm

Clutch is £519.95. Fitting typically around £150 assuming no unforseen issues.

I wouldn't knock it too much, yours will do the same

It will be Richards one advantage, dyno power runs!

Hey I fixed your name already dude, sorry about that. I read "crisis" as Chris for some reason.. I blame the petrol fumes.

But you are right 6.4 bhp more smile

ive just taken a ls7 clutch out as it was not holding, it lets go in third up (im running over 650fwhp but in a 1250 kg car) ive put a textallia in and seems very good so far, did a 11.6 at the pod the weekend with only 80 miles on the plate, and still the pedal pressure is light.i used to use a spec 4.5 but it was heavy and grabby but did not slip under any conditions.

Right so Our Monaro is an LS1 engine. The R8's are LS7 engine so excuse my ignorance where does the LS7 gear box come into it? I was talking to a VX dealer in Wales and he mentioned the next model R8 is going to be 7 liter or 7.2 Is the one you guys have got a 6.0 or 6.2?
I'm off sick so its a good time to switch to learning mode. Please bear with me.

VT2 - VTX are 5.7 Litre LS1
Monaro's are 5.7 - 6.0 litre LS1 -LS2 Depending on year
VXR8 6.0 -6.2 Litre LS2 - LS3 Depending on year

Not heard of anything with the LS7 in as yet from Holden.
