Can this be done...and/or has it been done? What would be the main 'Grifficulty'

I have been pondering on this all summer, The only dificulty I have envisaged is the extra weight, I though of maybe glassing in a steel plate in the back of the door to bolt the mirror to. But without actually seeing the mirrors it is difficult.

I will when I have the time be trying to obtain a pair from a citroen scrap yard.

It will be possible as later S3s, S4s and V8s' all have them.

Only problem is later mirror design sits in recessed hole on later doors. 'Orrible 'speed up' mirrors like ours fit onto the earlier door with no recess. It may still be possible, but isn't a straight swap!
