Now that the goverment's of the world are having to bail out the banking system it got me thinking, is there any real difference in the 'average joe' having his taxes raped for the greed of the banking system or having his taxes raped to keep those on the dole in their fags/booze etc?

Either way your honest hard working guy out there is going to suffer, will the banking system really have to pay for what is has sowed or will it do the same all over again next time round?

The slight difference that bankers have contributed billions of pounds worth of tax revenue and those on the dole have only drained it. rolleyes

Neither are a proposition I'm happy about, but then neither are quite as extreme as you describe once you reach the world beyond the tabloids.

Quite agree with you. However as is often stated on here 'we' are paying for the dole and it sure looks like 'we' will be paying for the financial mess. I'm not overly happy with either TBH!
