Anybody got experience of adding cruise control to a 2002 S-Type 3 litre sport?
I'm getting old and my foot aches on long journeys and my last cars have all had CC.

I'd be rather wary of trying anything since it might affect other electronics. I reckon the only way would be to consult your Jaguar dealer.

When I bought my XJ6 I had the dealer fit cruise to it, so at least for the X300 it was a dealer fit option. I'd be surprised if it was a factory only fit one on the S-Type.

Hi guys,
I upgraded my X type to OE Jag cruise acouple of years ago.
Its one of the best upgrades I have done especially when travelling abroad on hols couldnt do without it.
Apparently with the S Type as it only needs programming via the dealers IDS and the steering wheel buttons added.
In the X type Jag blocked the upgrade and no dealer can officially do it but luckily knew someone who had the knowledge to get around it (only possible in AWD X Types).
Have you asled the dealer if they can program it for you if you add the c/c switches?

I doubt you'd find a main dealer who would take the job on. I think they have a policy of new-cars-only for most of their options. I recently asked about getting the garage door opener fitted to my 2004 XK8 but the main dealers couldn't do it, even though this must surely be a relatively simple add-on.
