Evening all, my first post on this forum after recently becoming the owner of a friends cast off E220. It's a 2002 cdi 4 door avantguarde auto with 110,000 on the clock. Seems to be in good nick, my mate has kept the service record up to date with a specialist for the 2 years that he's owned it and although I'll be doing the same there will be some stuff that I will be doing myself to save on labour charges. The first items will be the brake discs and pads so I'd like to know if it's worth getting the parts from a stealer or whether the alternatives from GSF or Eurocartparts are ok? Don't mind paying for factory parts if they last longer.

In my experience, Genuine parts fit better. You don't get annoying rattles. Not sure about lasting longer.
