After 3 months of Griffith 500 ownership I can report an average 21 mpg.
(My car is mostly used on fast A roads and a bit of motorway).
I know it all depends on how you drive it but is this a good overall figure?
Cheers Keith

No, you are obviously driving far too slowly.

Look down. There is a pedal on the right hand side of the driver's footwell. Try pushing it down to the floor until the rear wheels squeal.
8 is the number you are looking for - very lucky if you are Chinese!

I'm ashamed to admit that I got 28mpg on a recent 200 mile round trip up the A1.

in the Griff I should have added! I got the same mpg to Le Mans at a very steady 80mph.

I got a high of 27 mpg on one of my fill ups going to Le Mans last year and an all time low of 12 shortly after I got it, no doubt after a number of demo drives to friends hehe.

Average is round about 18 to 20 depending if a decent run is in there, which is pretty respectable I think. Just knocking round town it's somewhere around 15.

Gentlemen,
Just to clarify, my average over 3 months has been 21 mpg!
The lowest I have had (mostly driving around town) has been 16 mpg, while on a drive to Leeds I managed over 26 mpg.
the reason I mention overall consumption is to get a feeling of how well the car is running and whether the average fits in with the norm.
Cheers
Keith

Sounds normal to me. Mine does 28mpg on long runs and 17mpg when used for enthusiastic commuting.

...how many gallons does the tank take again?

I work on how many miles I can do for 3/4 of a tank (never letting it get below 1/4 full if I can help it)
