As long as you keep it brief, 2 pages maximum, you should be able to do it yourself.

But if an agency are willing to do it for nothing in the hope they make commission for your success, that may be worth a thought.

there are so many templates and guidelines on the web to writing a good CV you'd have to be a fool to pay someone else to do it!

Just read a couple of books on it. After all, that's all these professional services have done. And bought a decent laser printer and some 120gsm paper...

I guess the template is easy; name, contact details, education summary, current job summary, additional skills and interests, comment on referees.

It's knowing what to populate in those boxes that is the harder piece. Good Luck smile

but thats the whole point in a CV - its your chance to come across on paper before the interview - give a little of your personality as well as achievements...

For what it's worth, I'm now trying to keep my CV 'live' at all times - each time I complete a noteworthy project, win something significant etc, I note it in there, makes it far easier to tidy up when it's required than trying to rack the brain when you desperately need it!
