There's a 31 year old PHer who does, but I'm not at liberty to disclose his identity...

That was what, 40 years ago?

So just about where the north is now.

That's not a compliment, is it?
Op why are you asking us? Much better surely to ask your real life mates, assuming you have any, as they are the ones who are going to see you in said headgear, and either nod sagely at your sartorial elegance, or rip you to pieces.

Of course, we all wear them up here in the north - even the ladies. I myself have one for every day of the week.

Here's a pic of me wearing one of mine. As you can see, I look slightly older than my 35 years, but that's because I work in a mine, and live in a water filled hole in the ground.

If you need to ask what one is then you aren't one. Also you won't be able to pull off a flat cap, unless an old git.

A flat cap can be a practical and stylish accessory, if worn with a battered Barbour jacket, green Hunter wellies, a Viyella shirt or blue Guernsey pullover, a silk cravat, tan corduroys, well polished brown brogues and in 1986.

Actually, that was almost the uniform.

Or accessorised by a Harris tweed jacket, matching plus fours, black lab, Beretta over and under, and a very bad case of the DTs hehe

If you live in back to back housing with an outside bog...on that subject, who recalls that shiny bog paper called Izal I think? Did a great job of diluting around the whole cheek area

If you are fashionable, and dress funky.

Then yes a flat cap will go.

If you are middle aged and enjoy shooting this is also a time you can wear one.
