alright all
been trying to get money out of someone that has owed me it for about 12months now and still refuses to pay , i have sent letters recoded delivery etc to his home adress asking for payment .
now i am at the end of my whits end as its a joke , i have told him am taking him to court for the money as been trying to get it out of him for te last 12 months with no joy .
his buissnus is half legit half not regarding tax man, so thought last thing he would want to do is go through all the hassle which i would rather not either to be honest . i left working for him when i later found out that i was getting charged tax natniol insurance etc but i wasnt actualy on his books he was basicly just paying cash to me as, due to it was easy that him setting up all aconts etc which was fine by me , i have said will talk to the tax man and have got witness etc
now he has decided after months and months of me trying to get the money out of him , that i have supposdly broken into his van , which is under cctv and is all alarmed up all dead locked parked outside his house etc
now i have been sent a few threatning text messages telling me to go see him so we can sort it out before he finds me , also tells me that he has pepole after me and to watch my back because my time is limited , saying come see me before i find you etc
now am thinking this vilont behaver is down to the fact he has got nothing else that he can try and is backed up into a cornor .
what would pepole say the best route to take

basicly trying to get me to fight with him which i wont do as pointless and then might come up when go to court etc and the fact he his 100miles away because i moved since then
Pop down your local kebab shop or indeed your local Polish Deli (they are springing up everywhere) ....there you should find your local turkish or polish working gentlemen...
Offer them a few quid for some assistance and also point out that this chap has been rather slanderous about them, their wife/girlfriend/mother (delete as applicable) ....then simply ask them to knock on said chaps door and request the payment and sort out said dispute..
If they are suitable large, have crap 80's haircuts, long leather jackets and have an old S Class Merc or similar, then they should be the chaps you are after...

In all serious, if you've got a few handy mates I would go round and ask politely (with some backup). If he still doesn't co-operate then shop him to the Inland Revenue, Social services and every other government body that has a little hitler department of misery..
Then write your money off...
Offer them a few quid for some assistance and also point out that this chap has been rather slanderous about them, their wife/girlfriend/mother (delete as applicable) ....then simply ask them to knock on said chaps door and request the payment and sort out said dispute..

If all the texts say is to come and meet, you're right. But if they are in any way threatening, e.g. specifically saying that people are out to get him or anything suggesting violence, the OP should inform the Police.Cheeky Jim said:

because other pepoles opinions i can also think about ,if it was upto me i was go rap a shovel around his head but that will end up me getting in trouble thats what am thinking , after he is trying to put me breaking into his van onto me am sure he would try anything to wriggle out the s
