Cobra Car alarms

Quick question, I have just had a cobra alarm fitted, when I lock/arm the car, the high pitched buzz sounds for about 30 seconds - Is this correct - every time I lock the car ?

Had a Cobra on a previous (non TVR) car, and that meant that it hadn't alarmed. Had it happen a couple of times when sensors were being tripped, I think, and definitely at the end of its life when it needed replacing.

I have a Cobra on my car. The high pitched buzz usually means I have left the door or boot open.

hmm i'd say get it sorted pretty quickly cos it's kinda announcing THIS CAR ISNT PROPERLY ARMED and then you walk off :-O

The cobra alarm in mine sounds for "a short period" if it has not armed due to a failure in the system or one of the sensors.

The manual just says "consult your Cobra dealer"

I did, they sorted it for £40, so give it a go!

My new one has a cobra alarm... it just flashes twice when you lock it and once when you unlock. If you press the little button afterwards it buzz's once to tell you the interior sensors (if fitted) are disabled incase you want to leave the hood down or someone in the car.

I have a slightly different problem, when disabling the alarm, sometimes I'll open the door and there's no sound, get in start her up no problems. Other times when I open the door there's a constant buzz, which to begin with I assumed was my "you've got a little while to try and start the car" sound. However, almost every time the buzzers going, if I go through the start procedure it will only turn over once and die if at all, as if the fuel pump immobiliser hasn't gone off properly ?

Am I doing something wrong, is there something up with the alarm etc ? any thoughts would be good
