How to long to get compensation from the FCS?

OH has some dosh in B&B (under £35k). Surprisingly the log-in to the e-savings section is locked!

If the brown stuff hits the fan, how long does the FSCS usually take to pay out claims?

The claim will take longer than the queue on Monday morning. Is it an instant access account?

It won't go to the FSCS, if nobody else wants it B&B will merge with Northern Rock and become government owned.
