Just got home.

Not that many TBH.

Thanks. From the webcam it looked as though only half the stand was in use!

It is.

The stand has 1/3 and 2/3 split witht he bigger section further down track.

This section isnt open at the smaller events due to staff levels and take up I would imagine.

I think the idea was to, when funds allow, to build just that. Seeing as this year was basically a wash out I guess that plan has gone back another year.

SPR may need to look at all prices and costings for 2009, things are gonna get worse before they get better

some free grandstand seats would be good publicity surely?

Shakey seating is free isnt it? or it was last time i went

I don't use the grandstand, I perfer the bank, my arse gets sore after a while, plus there's more room on the bank for the beer box

Not charging for the grandstand seats probably won't encourage peolpe to come to SPR. They only charge for the big events anyway, the seats for free most of the time.

Seeing they struggled to get planning permission for the new grandstand, I don't hold much hope for one on the bankside.

They needed planning for the current grandstand, I believe.

Like all the strips in the USA, they are only filled once a year (or twice for Vegas etc).
