Our Goodmans (dont laugh too much) 20" has died. The picture comes on for a minute or two then goes off but the volume stays on!! AHHHHH! Is it time for the tip or can these things be mended?
Thanks

Iwould look in your local yellow pages for an independent repairer. They will be able to give you a better opinion as to whether it is repairable than pretty much anyone else. It may be something like a bad joint on the backlight board, or a connector that has gone faulty.

Try the AV forums. Some geeks on there that take geekyness to levels of genius.

Tho you may want to leave out the Goodmans brand, it will probably cause a massive thread derail hehe

What sourse are you using for the picture? Sky, freeview etc?

It could be (but is unlikely considering your brand of TV) that one or more of the phono connectors is loose.

Is it the same with the TV itself on a terrestial channel?

How old is it?

If its under 5 years old demand your money back (see sales of goods act).
