So........ wink

After a lovely breakfast in Germany with my girlfriend, we started the hour long drive to Bern. Twenty minutes later some pr1ck thought it would be a good idea to throw a full bottle of water at the passenger side window whilst travelling on the motorway at aroung 70mph. furious (Luckily the bottle bounced off the window and it is intact and there is no damage to the paintwork). Allow me, if you will, to add further detail.
A three lane motorway which returns back to two (the 3rd lane must integrate back into the 2nd). I was following a long line of traffic travelling at around 130kph in the 2nd lane. I check my mirrors and see the 3rd lane is clear. Check my blind spot to find that the 306 who was following me is overtaking as the chevrons begin. He then proceeds to cut me up. I sound the horn and give a brief slute. He reciprocates and then test brakes me after all ready making me brake after his initial overtake. I moved to lane 1 which was empty to avoid an emergency stop and just as I pull level with the Pug, its passenger throws a full bottle of water at my car. I carry on driving and my girlfriend and I try to read his number plate but he takes the next exit so I only have the beginning couple of letters. Bugger.

Then I receive a 'phone call about twenty minutes later from my parents telling me my dog has to be put down as he has lost his battle with cancer. Over all, it has been a stirling day.

Disclaimer: I realise the grammer used is not up to the usual PH standard and that I have mixed my tenses but being the mature grown up I am, I decided the only answer to my crappy day was a couple of bottles of wine.

sorry to hear about your dog. it sucks but it happens more often than you may know. I dont know what it is with dogs and cancer and arthritis, but it seems many of them get it. Most of the time they have tumors.

as for the guy who threw the water bottle, well, it certainly doesnt add an aura of niceness to the day. I hope tomorrow is a better day, or hell, later on today is better for you.

if it makes you feel any better, my life sucks and it looks like it will continue to suck even more as the days go by. smile

Thank you. I have just moved to Switzerland and have come to the assumption that, as a country, they are without doubt the worst drivers in Europe.

Memo to self: avoid Switzerland. I'm in trouble if I end up there next year...

It really is a lovely country and most of the people are really friendly. They just seem to go nuts when they start to drive. It's most bizarre confused
