E220 Cabriolet - With Pics
Discussion
Hello everyone - This is my dads new purchase - A Malachite Green (?) W124 E220 Cabriolet
Just thought I'd share a couple of pics firstly;
Excuse the fact that in pics it is dirty, wrong timing!!

Some better, clean top down pics should be on their way tomorrow
My dad has always loved these, but when they were new, they were too much for him to consider, and recently he has been in search of a future classic, which is capable of carting around a family of 4.
This particular car has done 82k miles, in rare (not seen another) Malachite Green with Cream leather, Full MB dealer history, 2 owners (last owner sold up and bought a Continental GTC!), and is in immaculate condition. The car also has optional (so I'm lead to believe?!) heated seats, so trips out on cold mornings with the roof down, heat and heated seats on are lovely
We have just come back from an 800 mile trip round central France, including Paris, Reims race track etc, and the car was totally faultless. It was fully loaded, 4 up all the way, and achieved 30mpg, mostly with the top down too - Apart from in Paris where it was torrential rain all day!!
Unlike the E-Type my dad used to have, not a drop of water even thought about entering the cabin, which was very pleasing!!
Just a quick couple of questions; The car didn't come with a central arm-rest, and dad quite likes the idea of one - Is there anywhere that a cream armrest would be available??
And secondly, dad saw a 320 Sportline at Silverstone the other weekend, and it had a half wooden steering wheel, and he quite liked the idea of that too - Again, any pointers as to where I could source one??
Many thanks, and I hope you like it!
