Quite nice. Will need good brakes and suspension unless its just for drags.
I dont like the intake up through the bonnet, would prefer a "slightly" raised bonnet or stock bonnet.

Id bolt an injection system on if it were me smile But looks good anyway!

I can see why people love these car however I've never really been a fan. I like new cars. That's why i preferred the 95 Mustang as opposed to the current shape. I think they reverted back to the older shape.
Just out of interest, where would insurance stand on a big piece of engine sitting on the top of your bonnet. Wouldn't that be somewhat of a blind spot. I can imagine phoning mine and telling them I'm blue tacking a toaster to the bonnet of the ro for a bit.(bad comparison i know so please be gentle. Don't know if i told ya I'm poorlyhehe) Just wonderedscratchchin

Yep, nice. I prefer either a flat hood or a cowl induction. Wouldn't go back to old school muscle car now tho....

Great looking classic car but those old iron small blocks don't hold a candle to the LSx motors we are running.

All alloy ZL-1 big block from a 69 Camaro.....80lbs lighter than an iron small block. I think GM do them as a crate motor now

Its not just the alloy block, its also the design of the heads, intake etc.
Much better to fit an LS7 than a ZL1, better power, emissions and economy wink

Looking for one for Soph to drag race next year (Yep she`s hooked), that`s a bit strong unfortunately.
Also like the Plymouth Barracuda.

Missed out on a Firebird drag car on Fleabay as I was away
(Looked all there just needed development, but prob would have been safely slow for her to start with)

will that have the old school muscle car (think Rover V8) firing order or is it the same as ours?

I think my stock iron block, off-the-shelf Dart heads, flat tappet cam small-block might argue that!

I do

The main point is that while the LSx might be all CNC and modern in design, the old school big and smallblock have such an array of cheap tuning parts that in practise you can build both new and old motors to similar specs with similar amounts of cash. What you use mostly comes down to what it's going to go into, it requires a fair chunk of extra work to put an LSx into an older car and vice versa.

Well depending on seating position and how much it climbs out the bonnet, you may have to crane your neck a little to see properly. But, much like driving a left-hooker over here, it's safe enough providing you allow for it and drive accordingly. In insurance terms, generally big honking blower motors are in hotrods and insured via specialist policies though the big clubs like the NSRA or NASC. As long as it's correctly valued and passed an MOT then they'll insure it.
