Would it be possible to add a new option to "Formatting help"?

People often link images to larger versions (due to the resizing on ph) and have to tweak the following:

 [url]text|url[/url]

and replace the "text" with the img tag (without the spaces):

[ i m g ] [ / i m g ]

to look like [ u r l ] [ i m g ] [ / i m g ] | u r l [ / u r l ] (again, without spaces, code tag doesn't work properly for this)

I know it's pretty easy to do manually, but would save a lot of time!

Thanks in advance wink

I've just had a look and it seems that
 [pic]url[/pic]
does this job.

I'm not sure why the img version doesn't, but will have a look into it and at the very least we will document it better in the 'formatting help'

Yeah, but it squishes the large image. Using the way on my post allows you to select a smaller image, form flickr say, and link it to a larger version (without any 750px squishing).

Like this for example, clicky to see what I mean wink

We are planning to improve the parser in the near future and this sounds like a good idea, so I will add it to the to-do list and we will include this in the new version.
